How is the Substance Registry System (SRS) data kept accurate?

The information in the Substance Registry System (SRS) is managed by different sources.
" The substance data for the different lists are managed by stewards who are most knowledgeable about the particular statute or EPA system
" The core metadata for a substance is first confirmed via the Chemical Abstract Service. In subsequent years, the data is validated periodically, often annually.
" Other information, such as reference links are checked on a regular basis to ensure currency and accuracy.
